On Sunday I was lucky to get a last minute spot on screen printing with Mhairi Mcdowall. The class was held at Oil and Glass in Aberdeen, a fantastic visual art and fused glass gallery with workshop space. Oil and Glass is ran by the lovely Shelagh @oilandglass who was very helpful when I enquired about the workshop and is the artist of some lovely glass pieces and pictures.

We were taught by Mhairi Mcdowall @mhairi_mcdowall, who specialises in textile and design and creator of Paper houses. Her exhibition at Make Aberdeen featured on my blog post last week https://hellofromrosebudannie.wordpress.com/2014/08/23/♡adventures-make/ .
Mhairi was great taking us through the screen printing process and I really enjoyed my afternoon as printing was something on my radar to do for a while!

We Screen printed onto tote bags. I try and take totes when food shopping and thought would love a tote for fruit and veg and went for a beetroot veg design.

Thanks @mhairi_mcdowall and @oilandglass and Susan who was working on the day for all your help. Cant wait to try at home.
Have you tried screen printing? Would love to see your work if you have and hear how you got on.
